Appearance in detail:Bellatrix Lestrange was described as tall, beautiful woman with long, thick, shining black hair. She had thin lips and dark, heavy-lidded eyes with pale skin and a strong jaw. She had the classic 'great good looks' and arrogant bearing common for members of the House of Black, but like her cousin Sirius, her time in Azkaban cost her her beauty. After her lengthy imprisonment, she was described as having a gaunt and skull-like face. Bellatrix was noted to physically resemble her cousin Sirius and her sister Andromeda. Bellatrix is described as having "Mad eyes" and a "fanatical glow", making a hint that others think she is psychotic. But of course, with the pureblood mania and inter-family breeding, it should not come as a surprise that most purebloods are indeed imbalanced, especially after the description of the Gaunt children. Tall, with a harsh voice, and a thin mouth. Bella had the aristocratic Black good looks: tall with black hair and (in her case) heavily-lidded eyes and air of arrogance; although as with Sirius, Azkaban left its mark.

Characters personality

Personality: Bellatrix was an intensely sadistic witch who at certain points seems mentally unbalanced; for instance, she once killed a fox because she was paranoid it might be an Auror in disguise. Bellatrix could be easily distracted and had a fierce and dangerous temper, a trait that she shared with her cousin Sirius and her aunt Walburga.

She was fanatically devoted to Voldemort, believing that she proved her loyalty by her time in Azkaban, which seems to have furthered her mental decline. She was one of Voldemort's cruelest Death Eaters, always eager to inflict the Cruciatus Curse on enemies, and believed she was his most trusted and loyal follower; indeed, Harry believed that Bellatrix was as "mad as her master". Bellatrix was a steadfast believer in the supremacy of blood purity, as was taught to her by her family, and seemed particularly eager to kill her own family members if they violated this ideology. She wants to get rid of all of the muggle borns and have the entire wizarding world be made of pure bloods. This comes from her family, who is obsessed with the pure blood supremecy factor. She is also capable of tremendous loyalty. During Voldemort’s first reign of terror, Bella and Lucius Malfoy were so high in Voldemort’s trust that they were each entrusted with one of his Horcruxes. Bella was given the Hufflepuff cup which she secured in the Lestrange family vault deep in Gringotts. Bella relishes causing pain, especially when her victims are powerless; her specialty is the Unforgivable Cruciatus Curse. A particularly enthusiastic member of Voldemort’s inner circle of Death Eaters. Despite her apparent mental instability, she is a witch of prodigious ability, as demonstrated by all her victories in duels against other characters.

Family History: Bellatrix was born in 1951 to Cygnus and Druella Black, who raised her to prize her pure-blood heritage. She was the oldest sister to Andromeda and Narcissa, though Bellatrix cut off contact with the former when Andromeda married Muggle-born wizard Ted Tonks and was disowned, as she told Lord Voldemort in 1997 that neither she nor Narcissa had "set eyes on our sister since she married the Mudblood". Bellatrix also held her cousin Sirius Black in contempt for being a Gryffindor and a "blood traitor". Bellatrix attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was sorted into the Slytherin House. She eventually married Rodolphus Lestrange — a fellow pure-blood, as was expected of her — and when Lord Voldemort first rose to power, she and her husband joined the Death Eaters. Unlike her sisters, Bellatrix displayed no outward affection for her husband whatsoever, never even mentioning him in conversation. Her true love was Voldemort, who gave her some training in the Dark Arts, which contributed to her incredible talent as a duelist.
Bellatrix and Rodolphus fought in the First Wizarding War on the side of Voldemort. After the Dark Lord's fall in 1981, Bellatrix and a group of Death Eaters, including her husband, brother-in-law and Barty Crouch Jr., captured Aurors and Order of the Phoenix members Alice and Frank Longbottom. Bellatrix and her associates used the Cruciatus Curse to torture them into insanity, a crime for which they were tried before the Wizengamot and sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban. Bellatrix was considered to be so high security that she was chained to the walls of her cell once entering it for the first time. Unlike many other Death Eaters, Bellatrix not only did not attempt to lie about her loyalty — she proudly proclaimed that she was loyal to the Dark Lord and that she would wait for his return. She would later describe herself as his "most loyal servant".

Why this Canon Character: Bellatrix is one of my favorite characters in Harry Potter. I will do my absolute best to make sure she is as wicked awesome on here as she is in the books.
Sample RP: Bellatrix sat twirling a long strand of her shiny black hair around her fingers snapping off spilt ends. She took a deep breath and looked around her cold dark cell of Azkaban. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at her Dark Mark on her arm. The rain pounded against the stone walls of the prison and she raked her long dirty fingernails against the wall, she wished that she could get out of here and she could get back to her mission of serving the dark lord once again. Bellatrix yanked her chains and yelled to the ceiling of the cell. She sat there against the wall hopeless and cold then she heard a cool voice echo throughout the cell "Bellatrix...you will escape soon enough...the right time is approaching..." Bellatrix stood up and said "How do you know this?" she said frowning and though I must be going mad she then chuckled to herself and said I'm already mad!!. Bellatrix stayed in her cell for what seemed like forever. She looked down at her Dark Mark and touched it, it was moving on her wrist and she laughed and said At last...the Dark Lord was mustering an army that would take down those filthy Aurors and their precious Mudbloods. She listened to the storm pounding against the walls of Azkaban and then all of a sudden a lightning bolt hit the side of her cell and she covered her head to protect herself from the flying rubble. She looked up to find a huge gaping hole in her wall I'm free!! i'm finally free master! I can come to you now!! she yelled to they sky.
